Meet Sheriff Jack Carter. 

Jack lives in Eureka.

So do a lot of really smart people doing really crazy experiments.  Sometimes they blow up themselves.  Sometimes they blow up each other.  Sometimes they blow up the space/time continuum.  But they always have good intentions. 

 

They all work for Global Dynamics, which doesn’t always have good intentions.  Nathan Stark runs Global Dynamics. 

Nathan doesn’t like Jack.  Mostly this is because Jack is not-so-secretly in love with Allison Blake, and so is Nathan.

Helping Jack keep Eureka safe is his deputy, Jo Lupo.  Jo likes big guns.  But fortunately, she likes Eureka too. 

Jack’s friend, Henry, also helps him keep Eureka in one piece.  Sometimes they’re successful, sometimes they’re not.  But keeping his teenage daughter, Zoe, in one piece is mostly just Jack’s job.  Except when his house helps out.
